ADA Affected Children Given An Advantage

Bjorksten | bit 7 help create interactive learning center
Educators are confronted by many challenges. One obstacle is the struggle to educate the variety of incoming students who share the classrooms. Bjorksten | bit 7 teamed with InfoCor to produce an innovative (patent pending) learning system. Not only does this system give students greater access to an expansive education, but it also transforms learning into a stimulating and enjoyable experience. The new satalight™ assistive technology brings interactive learning into a new realm, one that captures childrens delight. This delight motives further learning. The enthusiasm was shared in a recent feature segment on a Milwaukee television station.

This learning system is highly approachable, and infinitely more accessible and versatile than the stationary wall mounted boards. The unit offers a significant degree of flexibility. It is designed for mobility, height adjustments and accommodates all activity angles from vertical to horizontal. One feature that excited the students was the 48” touch sensitive surface. This allows users to navigate the computer screen, write, drag-and-drop documents, browse the web, and save files all through their finger, pointer or an entire hand. The user friendly software allows the students to proceed at their own speed or to access learning topics of their own choice. They can be messy, mark up pictures, and write notes on the page without damaging or corrupting the original file.

The ADA Compliant system is available exclusively from InFoCor and is distributed throughout the United States. The complete unit includes the Smart Board™ whiteboard, the SMART Notebook™ collaborative learning software, and the satalight™ mobile station – everything needed to plug into a standard school computer.
